A ceremony written entirely
around you.

My philosophy

The beating heart of your entire day.

A wedding ceremony is the moment everything orbits around. The dress, the flowers, the dinner, the dancing — all of it circles back to the fifteen to thirty minutes when you stand in front of the people you love and say something true.

I build every ceremony entirely around you. That means weeks of conversation, multiple drafts of the ceremony script, time for your words and stories, space for the cultural elements that matter to your family — and the kind of presence on the day that holds everything steady, so you can be completely present for what is happening.

I don't perform a ceremony at you. I create one with you.

Multicultural ceremonies

Between two worlds?
I know that space.

If your ceremony lives between two cultural traditions — or belongs to neither — I understand that territory better than most. I grew up in the Himalayas, where Buddhist, Hindu, and other traditions exist side by side, and where the art of holding multiple truths is simply a way of life.

Whether you are intercultural, interfaith, non-religious, or entirely your own thing — your ceremony will honour all of it.

Sonam didn't just officiate our wedding — she held the entire room. Every word she spoke felt like it had been written specifically for us, because it had. Our guests are still talking about it months later.

As a mixed-culture couple, we'd been worried no celebrant would truly understand both sides. Sonam did, completely. She wove together both our traditions with such grace. It felt seamless, and so us.

We had a very specific vision and weren't sure any celebrant would really get it. Sonam not only got it — she elevated it. The ceremony was the best part of our entire day. We wouldn't change a single word.

Questions

Common questions

For Gold Coast and Southeast Queensland weddings, I recommend booking 9–12 months in advance if possible, especially for peak season (October–April). That said, I do accept shorter bookings when my availability allows — always worth enquiring.

Yes. I serve the Gold Coast, Tweed Coast, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and the surrounding regions as standard. For destination ceremonies further afield — interstate, regional, or international — please enquire directly and I will let you know what's possible.

Yes — and this is one of the areas I care about most. My own background spans the Himalayan traditions of northern India and I have been creating ceremonies that bridge cultural worlds throughout my career. Whether you want to include a tea ceremony, a ring warming, a traditional blessing, or a ritual specific to your family's heritage — I will work to understand what it means before we work out how to include it. Civil ceremonies can hold almost anything, as long as the legal words are spoken.

The NOIM is a legal requirement in Australia. It must be lodged with your celebrant at least one calendar month before your ceremony (and no more than 18 months before). I will guide you through this paperwork completely — it is straightforward, and I handle all of it.

Absolutely — and I love working with couples on their personal vows. I can give you as much or as little guidance as you want: complete freedom to write your own, prompts to get you started, or collaborative sessions where we refine them together. The legal monitum (the required legal words) remains fixed, but beyond that, your ceremony is entirely yours.
